Bitcoin and Ordinals platform
Overview
Trio is a Bitcoin Ordinals marketplace — a place for users to spend their bitcoin on Ordinals assets. It's the second product from OrdinalsBot, built on the inscription infrastructure that powers the broader ecosystem.
My role
I was Lead Frontend Developer, leading a team of four frontend engineers across both trio.xyz and ordinalsbot.com. I owned complex deployments, tokenomics implementation, a points and rewards system, and API documentation.
What I built
- Trio marketplace — browse, buy, and sell Ordinals assets on Bitcoin
- Trio DEX — a decentralized exchange built on the Internet Computer Protocol
- Points & rewards system — engagement mechanics tied to platform tokenomics
- Deployment pipelines — managing releases across multiple frontends and environments
- API documentation — enabling internal and external consumers to integrate with OrdinalsBot services
The stack spanned React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, ShadUI, Firebase, Supabase, Node.js, Google Cloud, and Vercel.
The hardest problem
Building on and around the Bitcoin Ordinals ecosystem in 2024–2025 meant navigating genuinely novel protocol nuance. The industry was moving fast, standards were still settling, and every feature required deep understanding of how inscriptions, wallets, and Bitcoin L1 constraints interact.
Outcome
We shipped Trio.xyz and the Trio DEX — two live products in one of the most technically demanding corners of the Bitcoin ecosystem.
