Secret Fire is the ecommerce and publishing home of Daniel Wiseman — herbalist, alchemist, and bestiller of alchemical and occult knowledge and tradition. The site sells his work and supports his community of practitioners.
My role
I was the developer and design collaborator. This wasn't a throwaway WordPress theme job — Daniel needed newsletter management, ecommerce, and someone who would match his attention to detail.
What I built
- Custom WordPress ecommerce — product catalog, checkout, and content management
- Newsletter management — list building and email flows for his audience
- Design input — close collaboration on layout, typography, and visual identity to honor the brand's alchemical aesthetic
The stack was WordPress, PHP, MySQL, CSS, and JavaScript.
Outcome
Steady growth for Daniel's business and a highly satisfied client who got a site that reflects the care he puts into his craft.
