OrdinalsBot

Overview

OrdinalsBot is the parent company and first product in the OrdinalsBot ecosystem. It's the inscription service where users mint Bitcoin Ordinals — and the marketplace layer where those inscriptions can be sold. Trio was the second product, building on the same infrastructure.

My role

I worked as a developer on the core platform alongside my lead frontend work on Trio. I built systems that made the OrdinalsBot API accessible to a broader developer audience.

What I built

• Inscription flow — the end-to-end UX for minting Ordinals on Bitcoin
• Optics & dashboards — operational visibility into inscription pipeline health
• Points & rewards system — shared engagement mechanics across the product suite
• Template app — a starter application that let developers interact with the OrdinalsBot API out of the box, lowering the barrier to building on the platform

The stack included React, Node.js, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, ShadUI, and Firebase.

The hardest problem

Same as Trio: the technical complexity of the Ordinals ecosystem on Bitcoin L1. Inscription mechanics, fee markets, wallet compatibility, and protocol edge cases required constant learning and adaptation.

Outcome

OrdinalsBot became the inscription layer that Trio and third-party developers built on top of — including the template app that turned API consumers into ecosystem participants.
